Smorgon is a Belarusian football club originating from the town of the same name in the Grodno District. The club was founded in 1987 and has been active in Belarusian football championships since 1992.
In 2001, they finished second in the Belarusian Second League and were promoted to the First League.
With manager Georgy Kondratyev at the helm in 2006, they finished as runners-up in the First League and earned a place in the Belarusian Premier League for the first time. From 2007 to 2009, Smorgon played in the Premier League, with an eighth-place finish in 2008 being their best achievement.
Whilst playing in the First League in 2022, FC Smorgon bagged their most recent second-place finish and were once again promoted.
At the end of the 2024 season, the club finished 12th in the Premier League table, thus securing their spot in the top tier for the 2025 season.
