Derby was one of the 12 founder members of the Football League way back in 1888 – and is one of only ten clubs to have competed in every season of the English football league system.
In 2009 the club was ranked 137th in the top 200 European football teams of the 20th century. And with good reason, too.
The Rams first saw light of day in 1884 when founded by William Morley as a branch of Derbyshire County Cricket Club. They’ve since won the English top flight two times, in 1971/72 and 1974/75, and won the FA Cup in 1946 – just after the Second World War.

Achievements:

  • Champions of England (2): 1972, 1975
  • FA Cup: 1946
  • Charity Shield: 1975
